Saturday Morning Cartoons United is bringing fans back to the neighborhood for Hey Arnold!: A Spooktacular 30th Anniversary Benefit, a special evening celebrating three decades of the beloved Nickelodeon animated series — all for a good cause. The event takes place Saturday, October 17, 2026, at American Cinematheque’s Los Feliz 3 Theatre in Los Angeles.
The celebration will begin at 7:00 PM with Jim Lang performing original music from Hey Arnold!, bringing the iconic sounds of the series to life in an intimate live setting. The program will also feature a special screening of classic Hey Arnold! episodes, along with a selection of animated shorts, including Jennifer Nie’s Parrots, as well as rare shorts by Craig Bartlett, including Arnold Escapes from Church and Arnold Rides a Chair.
The evening will conclude with a special 30th anniversary conversation and Q&A featuring Hey Arnold! creator Craig Bartlett, composer Jim Lang, and original cast members Anndi McAphee (“Phoebe Heyerdahl”), Justin Shenkarow (“Harold”), and Olivia Hack (“Rhonda”), hosted by comedian and creator Andre Meadows, best known for his YouTube channel Black Nerd Comedy.
More than a celebration of a beloved animated series, Hey Arnold!: A Spooktacular 30th Anniversary Benefit will bring together the creators, voices, music, and artistry behind the show for an evening designed for longtime fans and a new generation discovering the world of Arnold, Helga, Gerald, Phoebe, and the residents of Hillwood.
The festive event supports Silverlake Shorts, a monthly short-film screening series championing independent filmmakers and animators in Los Angeles. Proceeds from the event will also support the work of Saturday Morning Cartoons United™, a Los Angeles 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to celebrating legacy cartoons and strengthening local communities through shared cultural experiences.
The celebration will take place at American Cinematheque’s Los Feliz 3 Theatre, located at 1822 N Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027, and will run from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Doors open at 6:00 PM.
